The Syrian army says several military bases in Hama and Aleppo provinces have come under fresh aggression by enemy missiles.
The army did not provide any details on possible casaulties, but the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has reported at least twenty six deaths. According to the U-K-based monitoring group, the main target of the overnight strike raid was the base of the Syrian armed forces’ 47th Brigade. Although details of the attack remain sketchy, the group suggested that the assault was likely to have been an Israeli operation. Tel Aviv, however, has denied any involvement, with the regime’s intelligence minister expressing no knowledge of the attack. Israel has carried out a number of military operations against the Syrian government since the Arab country was gripped by violence back in 20-11.
